Special Assistant to His Excellency, Sen. Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa on project monitoring and community development, Delta State, Engr. Forcados Kingsley has lauded, the First Lady of Delta State, Her Excellency Dame Edith Okowa for her O.5 initiative whose focus is to render medical outreach to Deltans, provide succour to the needy and the rendering of other essential services in line with the SMART Agenda of the Governor.

The Special Assistant made the commendation when the First Lady with her entourage visited, the headquarters of Burutu Local Government Council for their medical outreach recently.

According to him, the visit had medically liberated many living in Burutu and its environs as varying kinds of eye related cases where treated especially cataract patients.

He had particularly stated that her Excellency is truly on a divine mission to rescue Deltans through her medical outreach, dealing with the eradication of cataract and other related ailments in the state.

Engr. Forcados had further described his boss as a giant of development in Delta Sate despite the daunting economic challenges, stressing that Ijaws in Delta have never had it this good.

Mr. Kingsley had also used the strategic Ayakoromo/ Ogbe-Ideh bridge that will boost socio economic activities in riverine communities as a reference point, as well as the Burutu township concrete road pavement, the approved extension of the pavement and the ongoing ultra modern market in Burutu.

He also spoke on projects completed and ongoing in oil rich Ogulagha Kingdom and of course the approved extension, saying that several other projects are still going on in Burutu Local Government Area.

Engr. Forcados Kingsley further highlighted projects in Gbaramatu Kingdom such as the Pere road, Oporoza, the Okerenkoko internal roads, in Warri South West, affirming that, this is the first in the history of riverine Ijaw communities that, there are a lot of visible governmental projects.

“I could go on and on again,” Engr Forcados said: “adding that Gov Okowa’s developmental strides are evident in Ijaw Local Government Areas, from Patani to Bomadi and Burutu to the three Warri’s where Ijaw people hail from.

Meanwhile, Forcados had maintained that the Ijaws are pleased with Okowa and his performances over the years, noting that his return to the government house come 2019 is already a settled matter.
