BREAKING: ASUU Reacts To FG’s ‘No Work No Pay’ Rule – Main News

The Academic Staff Union of Universities (Asuu) has described the federal government’s “no work, no pay” policy on striking university lecturers as shameless.

The federal government had ordered all Vice Chancellors to implement the directive following the strike embarked on by the university teachers.

However, the Asuu Chairman at the University of Ibadan Deji Omole has said members of the union would not be intimidated by the government’s move.

“We have passed this road before. It is a familiar terrain which we can navigate with our eyes closed,” Omole told Daily Post.

“We shall triumph any attempt to destroy the common patrimony. The power of the people is stronger than the people in power.”
