A Niger-Delta rights activist and leader in the Ijaws of Egbema Kingdom in Warri-North Local Government Area of Delta State,Alaowei Promise Lawuru has called on the senator representing the people of Delta South Senatorial District in the National Assembly Abuja, Sen.James Ebiowou Manager to visit the rural communities in Egbema Kingdom in order to identify with the people a head of 2019 general elections.

Alaowei Lawuru said,the call became imperative holding to the fact that,since 2003,the Egbema people had supported and voted for Manager,stressing that the senator has not reciprocated them in terms of attracting infrastructural development to their rural communities.

Alaowei Promise who is a member of Delta State Land/Waterways Security Committee and the National President of Egbema Brotherhood lamented that the only access road project in Egbema Kingdom has been abandoned by NDDC and the people are helpless about the situation.Hence,he called on their political leader Senator James Manager to arrest the circumstances facing Ufunama road project .

In his words,Alaowei said;” Manager,the Egbema Ijaws have stood by you in all trying times.We have fought our kingsmen politically just to make sure you have it.

It is high time you reciprocate them and start your campaign from Egbema kingdom.Meet with the people at the grassroots in the rural villages.It will surprise you that,most of our parents have been hearing your name voting for you always but have not seen you in person.

The Egbema Ijaws needs urgent government attention. Please use your good office as a senator to influence development and reach out to NDDC to resume work in the abandoned Ofunama road in Egbema kingdom,which is the only road that connect the whole of Egbema,Alaowei Lawuru stated. “

The people of Ayakoromo in Burutu Local Government Area of Delta State,yesterday witness an historical epoc making event as one of their illustrious son,Evang Dr.Samuel Elaweremi (Ph.D,FCNA) was honoured by United Nations Peace Advocate as UN-POLAC CHARTERED PEACE ADVOCATE,alongside his beautiful two wives,Mrs. Esther Ekoko Elaweremi and Mrs.Ezougha Elaweremi as UN Justices For Peace (JP).

The event which took place on the 2nd December,2018 at Altar of Fire Int’l Church Ayakoromo,during the grand finale of Ayakoromo for Christ 2018 4days Mega Crusade Thanksgiving Service.

Speaking during the Investiture Ceremony,the United Nations-POLAC representative,Dr.Jerry Abiri said,POLAC is an acronym for Positive Livelihood Award Centre saddled with the mandate to defend human rights and restore dignity to all persons.It is an international autonomous organization of business and professional persons who have pledge to uphold the highest ethical standard.

According to Dr.Abiri said,among the six
recipients to be honoured by UN-POLAC in Delta State,Evang Dr.Samuel Elaweremi was selected based on his antecedents and the roles he played in promoting peace,as well as rendering humanitarian services to humanity in the society.

Abiri reiterated that,Dr. Elaweremi made history today in UN-POLAC for being the first person to be awarded as UN-POLAC chartered Peace Advocate alongside his two wives as UN-POLAC Justices For Peace.He further stress that henceforth, Elaweremi would be officially addressed as,His Excellency, Amb Evang Dr.Adu Samuel Elaweremi according to United Nations Polac ideal.

In his remark,the recipient, Amb Evang Dr.Samuel Elaweremi (Ph.D,FCNA),thank the international organization for finding him and his wives worthy to be honoured as UN Peace Ambassadors.

” Today is the most happiest day in my life.I am humbled and fulfilled.I never expected this in my life,infact,am speechless.I will continue to do my best,think globally and act locally to advocate for peace and render humanitarian services to my immediate communities,as well as the world at large.I therefore,dedicate the award to first of God Almighty,my family and Ayakoromo, Amb.Elaweremi asserted “.

Speaking at the Ayakoromo For Christ mega crusade Thanksgiving service,the guest speaker,Bishop Dr. Peter Tare Benjamin appreciates Ayakoromo people for embracing Jesus Christ the only true son of God,who delivered them from the hands of enemies on the 1st of December,2010 Ayakoromo JTF bombardment.

Bishop Benjamin urged Ayakoromo people to mark 1st of December every year as Ayakoromo Independence Day,stressing that was the day God liberated Ayakoromo from the bondage of evil doers.

While delivering his prophetic message,Bishop Benjamin said,” Ayakoromo shall be a tourist center of attraction in the nearest future.The Ayakoromo bridge,no power on earth can stop it. Government shall have no peace until the bridge is completed.Oil prospecting company is coming to Ayakoromo soon.More than 20 people will leave Ayakoromo for abroad to study through the Federal Government Amnesty scholarship education programmes,Bishop Benjamin added”.

Also speaking is the Chairman of Ayakoromo Community,Engr.Elvis Arerebo thank everyone who honoured and participated in the 4days crusade programme.He thank Bishop Benjamin for coming all the way from Abuja to bless Ayakoromo people with the undiluted powerful word of God.He also thank Amb Evang Dr.Samuel Elaweremi for making the programme possible in bringing salvation to Ayakoromo people. Finally,he appreciates the leadership of Ayakoromo CAN,Altar of Fire Int’l Church and the community for their amazing turn up to accept Jesus,the statement adds.

However,the event also featured marking of Oyin-nua Elaweremi Birthday,the award of Scholarship to one Miss.Garen Rubber who is a disable to study in the University.The guest artistes,Goli Pat,Jacob Money,Bishop Ben’s Team and Stephen Demebide add more glamour to the program as they performed wonderfully to the glory of God.Climax of the event was the hoisting of UN-POLAC flag at the resident of Amb Evang Dr.Adu Samuel Elaweremi to signify the presence of United Nations Ambassador.
