*As Aketekpe preaches love, unity, forgiveness*

*Our Kingdom is a “no go area” for other parties other than PDP – Gbaramatu Leaders*

*Any tribe under Warri South West can represent us – Chief Thomas*

Candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP in Warri South West, Delta State House of Assembly, Sir Dennis Emomotimi Guwor has stated that his shocking victory at the party primary was made possible hugely by the Itsekiri nation.

The PDP candidate had also promised to surprise the Itsekiri people with development when elected.

Guwor gave the assurance yesterday in Gbaramatu, particularly at Oporoza, headquarters of the Kingdom and Okerenkoko, hometown of the deputy governor of Delta state, his excellency, Barr. (Deacon) Kingsley Burutu Otuaro during the PDP Warri South West ward to ward campaign.

Emomotimi had reechoed that the Ijaws and Itsekiris are truly one family, stressing that he will work hard with others when elected to promote only things that will bring even development to both ethnic groups and would ensure that he will contribute his quota to strengthen the bond of unity among the Ijaws and Itsekiris.

The Delta State House of Assembly hopeful had particularly made case for Alahaji Atiku Abubakar for Presidency; His Excellency, Sen. Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa, for governor; Sen. James Manager for Senate, Delta South; Chief Thomas Ereyitomi, JP, the Ojobojo of Warri Kingdom for Warri federal constituency and his humble self to represent Warri South West, Delta State House of Assembly.

Guwor had further described the Itsekiri nation in Warri South West as true democrats, stressing that their role in making democracy strive freely in the constituency will surely be reciprocated with development.

On his part, the paramount ruler of Gbaramatu Kingdom in Warri South West Local Government Area of Delta State, His Royal Majesty, Oboro Gbaraun II, Aketekpe, Agadagba, had tasked politicians in the Local Government to resist divisive tendencies.

The revered monarch of Gbaramatu Kingdom had urged politicians to promote love and to forgive one another, adding that continued disunity among the Ijaws and Itsekiris would not bring development to the area.

Agadagba had stated that only in love, unity and forgiveness will Warri South West experience more progress.

Shortly after the word of advice from the traditional ruler of Gbaramatu Kingdom, he blessed the duo of Chief Thomas Ereyitomi for House of Representatives, Warri Federal Constituency and Sir Dennis Emomotimi Guwor for Warri South West, Delta State House of Assembly, with a charge to go and succeed on behalf of Atiku, Okowa and Manager political team.

However, various political leaders from the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP in Gbaramatu had reiterated that the Kingdom in its entirety is a no go area for other parties if at all they exist, asserting that the Kingdom is PDP in personified.

The political leaders of the Kingdom had described the PDP as a party meant to allay the fears of the people, stating that Gbaramatu is becoming a hub of development under the reign of the Peoples Democratic Party.

According to them, the deputy governor of Delta State is their son, Chief Thomas Ereyitomi for Warri Federal Constituency is their son and Sir Emomotimi Guwor is their son, hence their supports for the PDP would be total, coupled with the unprecedented transformation in the Kingdom.

Meanwhile, the PDP candidate for Warri Federal Constituency, House of Representatives, Abuja, Chief Thomas Ereyitomi, JP, the Ojobojo of Warri Kingdom had stated that any tribe under Warri South West, can represent the constituency in the state house of Assembly, warning that there should be no rift about that.

He said, the Ijaws and Itsekiris have for long gone beyond ethnic politics, stating that what belongs to the Itsekiris will always get to them as same is applicable to the Ijaws, maintaining that no politician in the constituency can alter such natural, moral, ethical and legal precedence.

Ereyitomi had however, pledged never to disappoint the Ijaws of Warri South West and the Itsekiris when elected, he had further tasked the people of the constituency to get ready for more development in the area.

Coordinator of the Warri South West campaign committee, Chief Favour Izoukumor, commisioner representing the Ijaw ethnic nationality in the board of DESOPADEC had described the people of Gbaramatu Kingdom as a “Fantastic People”.

The commissioner had hailed them for the large turnouts, noting that it is a demonstration of their love and acceptability of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP in the Kingdom.

Chief Izoukumor had also promised the people of Gbaramatu to get ready for more development, adding that they are yet to see anything as what they have now would be small compared to what is coming when Okowa and other PDP candidates are re-elected.
