*As Dr. Binebai harps on unity, education in Oborotu*

The blissful four days 2018 Burutu end of year party climaxed to its highest peak on Thursday in the Island of no regret with cream of personalities in Niger Delta that rocked the event.

Some of these personalities include His Excellency, Barr. Kingsley Burutu Otuaro, deputy governor of Delta State, represented by Engr. Kingsley Forcados, Special Assistant to the governor of Delta state on project monitoring and community development; Rt. Hon. Julius Pondi, member representing Burutu Federal Constituency, House of representatives, Abuja; Hon. Peter Asupa Forteta, Peoples Democratic Party, PDP candidate, Burutu North, Delta State House of Assembly; Chief Hon. Julius Takeme, Commissioner Urban Renewal, Delta State; Rt. Godknows Angele, Chairman Burutu Local Government Area, Delta State; Ijaw Youth Council, IYC President worldwide, Barr. Pereotubo Oweilaemi and others too numerous to mention.

*Burutu should be ready for more transformation – Otuaro*

However, the deputy governor of Delta state had assured the people of Burutu community that they should be ready for more transformation, stressing that the governor is a man that has the community in his heart.

It would be recalled that the deputy governor made the call through the Special Assistant to the governor of Delta State on Project monitoring and community development, Engr. Kingsley Forcados.

Engr. Kingsley had particularly called on the people of Burutu to come out in their large numbers come 2019 to support the re-election bid of the Okowa/Otuaro ticket.

On his part, the performing member representing Burutu Federal Constituency, House of representatives, Abuja, Hon. Julius Pondi had promised to do all within his powers to contribute in the Burutu development story.

The house of representative member had particularly thanked members of Burutu community for organizing what he described as a powerful four days historic programme, noting that it has been long that Burutu as a community celebrates in such manner, asserting that history has been made in Burutu, the Island of no regret.

Hon Asupa Peter Forteta, Peoples Democratic Party, PDP candidate, Burutu North Constituency 1, Delta State House of Assembly 2019 had also called for supports in the forthcoming general elections, noting that a vote for his candidacy would make sense to the entire people of the North constituency.

The former commissioner for Sports development and youths mobilization, Delta State and commissioner Urban Renewal had assured the people of Burutu of more dividends of democracy when he is elected in 2019.

Forteta had particularly noted that he had always been part of the Burutu success story, stressing that more is still needed to be done.

The reigning commissioner, Urban Renewal, Delta State, High Chief (Dr.) Julius Takeme had charged the people of Burutu community, headquarters of the Local Government Area to massively cue behind the Okowa/Otuaro ticket come 2019.

Takeme who spoke eloquently had tasked the people of Burutu community to deliver all the PDP candidates in the forthcoming general elections, noting that Okowa is truly ready and committed to the development of the town.

On his part, the chairman of Burutu Local Government Area, Delta State, Rt. Hon. Godknows Angele had vowed to continue with his good legacies in Burutu, stressing that in no distant time, Burutu will become a town where everyone will be proud of.

The council Chairman had further urged the people of Burutu to reconcile with the Managing Director, AKEWA GLOBAL SERVICES, Chief Ken Donye, stressing that the man truly meant well for the development of Burutu and its environs.

Speaking on the lecture topic, building a pathway from the ancient history of Oborotu and the picturing of recency, Associate Prof. Benedict Binebai, senior lecturer and Head of Department,Theatre Arts, Niger Delta University, NDU Wilberforce Island, Amassoma, Bayelsa State had called on the people of Oborotu to continue to imbibe the culture of unity and declare what he describes as state of emergency in the area of education in Oborotu.

According to him, declaring state of emergency in education and unity among sons and daughters of Oborotu would no doubt reposition the enclave for good.

However, he had propounded three theories such as multiplicity, illumination and acknowledgment as theories that must be fully explored for the continues growth and development of the Oborotu people.

It was a programme that was well attended by various communities in Burutu Local Government Area of Delta state.

Meanwhile, Junior King Alfred Izon-Ebi also thrilled the huge crowd till dawn as High Chief Evans Etimigba, JP, the Fungewei of Iduwini Kingdom, Delta State among very many others that added more value to the occassion.
