Ogiame not the only King in Warri, Gbozimor tells Buhari, Osinbajo, others – Main News


A youth leader in Warri South West Local Government Area of Delta State, Comr. Gbozimor John has carpeted president Mohammadu Buhari, his deputy, Prof. Yemi Osinbajor and other Abuja based politicians that the paramount ruler of Itsekiri, also known as the Olu of Warri, Ogiame, Ikenwole I, is not the only King in Warri, Delta State.

He alleged that Warri is housing several Kings in Urhobo, and Ijaw, particularly the Ogbe-Ijoh Warri Kingdom, monarch.

He had faulted the duo for not pledging their loyalty to the Ogbe-Ijoh Warri Kingdom traditional ruler.

Gbozimor made the call recently in Warri while reacting to the recent visit by President Buhari to Warri to officially kicks start the All Progressives Congress, APC campaigns in Delta State.

The youth leader had insisted that while the Itsekiri remains a respected traditional stool in Delta, so do other Kings, particularly the Ogbe-Ijoh Warri Kingdom traditional ruler.

He had described the situation as an embarrassment to the Ogbe-Ijoh people, stressing that such should never be allowed to repeat itself.
