Comrade Sheriff Mulade

Francis Tayor_ Abuja

*Be Truthful To Okowa: There Is No Motorable Roads In Delta State-Mulade Tells Government Appointees*

A Gbaramatu Kingdom born human rights and environmental activist, Comrade Sheriff Mulade has again re-assured the governor of Delta State,Sen.Dr.Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa of total mobilisation of Deltan’s to ensure a landslide victory for him and the Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) candidates in the general 2019 elections.

Mulade made the declaration in Abuja, while speaking with journalist.Mulade also urged government appointees in governor Okowa’s cabinet to furnish the governor with truthful and timely information regarding the state of deplorable roads in major cites such as Asaba, Warri,Ughelli,Sapele,Abraka, Agbor and other local government areas in Delta State.

He noted that a tour around major cites within the Delta has proved contrary to several political media reports claiming that several millions of Naira have been spent on road construction and rehabilitation that made the popular slogan Ekweume, the road master Governor.

It is important to state and inform Governor Ifeanyi Okowa that there is no motorable roads in Delta cities and many of the riverine communities are deliberately deprived of development in spite of their huge contribution.

The State government should do something about the bad condition of roads within major junctions of cities in the state, these will encourage free flow of commercial activities, mobility and transportation before clamouring for the return of companies that left the State.

He further adds that mind bugling number of political appointees numbering over 3, 203 with over #400 million as salary should not be for praise singing and eye service, but Deltan’s are expecting the socio-economic and developmental benefits of retaining multitude of consumers who are egregiously gloated in copious consumption of the state resources.

Drawing Okowa’s attention to some abandoned projects by Multinational companies in riverine communities who have left the State due to insecurity challenges and bad governance,Comrade Sheriff appeal to Governor Okowa to takeover and complete the projects for the benefits of the people.

According to Mulade said; “Though His Excellency, Senator Dr.Ifeanyi Okowa has done his best as regards road construction however, government appointees should not go scrambling for contracts or fronting a company rather they should complement the governors efforts and ensure that contractor who abandon project after mobilisation are prosecuted and blacklisted”.

“We will give the Governor Okowa’s administration credit if he insist that the right thing is done to correct some obvious administrative imbalance.Incompetent contractor should not handle major projects in Delta State no matter their power of public relations or connections,Comrade Mulade asserted”.

Alabini as a region has a very wide scope for tourist attraction which is evident along the coastal line of Alabini which comprises of Agge, Agge Palm Push, Ogbintu, Azamabiri, Orobiri and Amatu 1&2 communities and it is with the forgoing that I propose that Alabini can be transformed into a city like Lagos because it is almost if not the same type of geographical terrain that exist in Alabini that is also found in the city mentioned above.

“It is in the light of all these present realities and the foreseen future facts that one can say with all sense of dignity and temerity that Alabini is great and that Alabini can be greater that what it is now but in the most candor sense of all these, we tend to shy away from the fact that we have not put in our very best to ensure that Alabini is the envy of all other constituency in the LGA and the State at Large But you know there is a sense in which we must give credit to Past and Present leaders who have given up all to ensure that Alabini is great, it is these leaders who have mounted the corridors of power that have in turn announced our great Constituency to the entire LGA and our great state.

“Alabini has a very bright future and that promising future will only come to be if only the youths of Alabini will take the responsibility of seeing into this future and working tirelessly to ensure that Alabini stands out among other constituencies and it is in the light of this that we must note that as youths we must comatose the idea of opposing everything without proposing nothing, if we must oppose then we must stand up tall to propose ideas that will pose as a catalyst in moving Alabini forward and it is with the Notion of proposing that Alabini Youth Coalition For Good Governance is putting the maiden edition of the Alabini Youth National Conference.” Collins asserted.
